No VCD? Is that true? My 2815 handles them.

    Well I'll be dipped.

A uni-player that gets BM right! Shame they didn't see fit to print the details of that in the mag, but they do have it in their In The Lab stuff on-line.

Most users will not need an ICBM on this one.

Yeah, I can finally say I found a player that I can recommend to friends. The only niggle I have is the resume function. There really isn't an auto resume if you power off the 2200. Other than that, everything is simple and clean with this player. I'll hold on to this one for a few years.

    Will the 2900 play them?

Speaking of which, I think it was a mistake to review the 2200 and not make some reference of comparison to the 2900, which S&V reviewed not long ago. Might have been useful for a prospective buyer.

Angelo.M: I agree 100%! The 2900 could have easily been a benchmark or reference. In general, the review was kinda' lacking on details. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad the 2200 did well. But, as a perspective buyer, which I am, I don't feel much wiser after reading it. Obviously, I was looking for something more in depth.
