Denon 1803 Multizone (1 Viewer)

I am new to the forum and have seen quite a bit about this topic but am still confused. All I am trying to accomplish is to play music (either CD or Radio) on Patio Speakers and have the surround speakers inside the house off. I just can't seem to get the multizone feature to do this. I wrote Denon 4 times and got no response. The only advice I received from the salesman was to purchase an additional amp and use the REC out of the Denon.

I had this same issue with the 1803 receiver. I could never get the 2nd zone feature to work with this receiver - so, I returned it.

I love Denon gear, but this issue with the 1803 frustrated me. :frowning:
