I am in a bit of a struggle over which receiver to purchase for my first HT system.

Denon seems to have the best overall Rep but the remote blows.

Have heard good things about both the H/K and the Yamaha for a budget receiver.

6.1 or 7.1 makes little difference to me so thats not too big an issue.

The HK would cost me about $100 more then the Denon and $150 more then the Yamaha but I can afford any of the 3 or anything else in the $600 or less range.

To give you an idea of what I am trying to put together I am trying to get a system that will fit into a mid size apartment.....pretty set on Home Theater Direct Tower fronts and bookshelf rears....no sub right now since I wouldnt be able to use it yet but want to get an SVS PCi sub when I move to a place that I can unleash it.

70%-TV, 20%-DVD's, 5%-Games

Any help deciding between all of these would be great.

Thanks!

Look at the rxv730 @$550...but the 630 sounds better (subjective opinion) than the Denon, and while I'm not a Harmon fan, I've READ good things about that unit...LET YOUR EARS DECIDE.....
