Let's say I set all of my speakers to the large setting, subwoofer to yes... but I use the "main+" setting. What I understand by the "main+" setting for the subwoofer is that it sends a full signal to the speakers set as large, as well as the bass information for those channels to the subwoofer. If I'm correct in my understand does the crossover setting that is employed when you set the speakers to small determine the point at which bass information is also sent to the subwoofer?
For example:
I have all channels set to large, subwoofer to "main+", and the crossover at 120 hz. All channels are sent a full range signal... and the subwoofer gets the LFE track, as well as any bass information under 120hz?
If my speakers(polk sub/sat combo) have a built in high pass filter, would this effectively avoid "double filtering" them without losing bass information?
Thanks for any help on this.
