I noticed online retailers are taking orders for the Denon 1802 and the price is roughly the same as the highly regarded Onkyo 595.
Looks like the Denon has these features.
    80 Watts, all channels driven 8ohms 20hz-20khz
    Dolby Pro Logic II
Dolby Digital & DTS (a given)
    5 Channel Stereo mode
    Front Panel Optical Input
    Binding posts all around
6 channel input with wideband (100khz) frequency
    Pre-amp outputs (L, R, C, Sub)
How does this unit compare with the Onkyo 595 for performance? Had anyone had a chance to review the Denon yet?
Could this now be the best bang of the buck under $400?

Do not forget the 1802 also includes multiple bass mgt. settings (80, 100 and 120Hz) as all the new xx02 Denons do...

Looks like it very well could be. But more than likely it will stay above $450 for quite some time. Crazy Eddies is selling it now for $355 plus shipping but they are an unauthorized dealer.
The 2802 has the adjustable crossover but the 1802 and 1602 do not.

Ooops I was wrong. Listenup.com only list the 1602 for $399.
