Need urgent your replies in order to change order if necessary.

“Am ordering Axioms

M22ti for front L/R,

VP150 for center,

and Q4s (Quadrapoles) for surround.

Sub will be PSB Subsonic 5.

Will the Denon 1802 be OK for this setup or should I move up

to the 2802 ? I would prefer not to spend the additional $$$ but

don’t want to buy the wrong receiver.

I do not plan on going to a 6.1 or 7.1 set up and I do not need

component switching (will go direct to TV with component).

Other than the component switching and a few more watts

(and maybe the remote) is there any good reason not to

stay with the 1802 ?

Al,

While not totally related to your question, here's my $.02 on the Denon/Axiom match:

I have my Axiom suite (M50s, M3s, VP100) mated with a Denon 3802 and I really enjoy the sound it puts out, particularly the crisp, detailed (but not overly analytical or bright) highs.

According to what I've read, you seem to have a winner on your hands using the M22s. I only wish I could hear them for myself! I have also read good thing regarding the VP150 and will most likely be purchasing one some time soon. As far as the Q4s, I've read nothing about 'em.

Regards,

Ron

You also can move to the old Marantz SR4000/5000 if you are not interested in the "modern" features.
