First off, I apoligize if this is in the wrong section, so admin's feel free to move or delete if I am wrong in posting this.

My local dealer is listing their prices, (in canadian dollers) as $799 MSRP for the 1602, but at a sticker of $599. The 1802 is MSRP $999 but is going for $799. When I asked them what is the ebst they can do, they said they cannot move on these prices at all, that they "price agressively" and can't move them, which I am thinking is bull. The guy I usually deal with wasen't in, so perhaps he can do better later this week.

Just curious as to people's opinions on these prices, and perhaps an accurate figure of what the dealer cost is, so I know what I can bargain with.

    Much appriciated.

Thanks Adam, I'll see how the two prices compare... But from that $499 conversion, it's pretty close...

    Scott,

When I got my Denon 1801 I paid $746, so they may have a little bit of room to play with, unless the cost of the 1802 has gone up.

I am in Ottawa and I have priced out both the 1602 ($599.99) and the 1802 ($799.99). The dealer here is not willing to move much either but does not try to pass off these prices as a special or sale.

Those prices are pretty much the same(within $10-20) as they are here in Nanaimo.
