This great (if not sometimes too Hollywood-sy) biography of Billie Holiday has not seen release on DVD yet. Could this be due to a dispute between Paramount and Universal? I bring up Universal because their music division bought Motown, the film's original production company (Paramount only released the film). If you've seen the movie lately on HBO, notice there is no closing logo at the end. Could this be that Universal now owns the rights to this film? Think about it. Motown owned the copyright to this film and was renewed...does Universal now own the copyright?
