Degaussing TV (1 Viewer)

I think I have gaussed my TV (Hitachi 32UX59B) with a badly placed center speaker, giving me vertical distortion, paticularly with white lines

Can I use a degaussng tool (Radio Shack?) or is there a service menu feature I can use?

Is the speaker shielded?

Sorry to report this, but the two times I ruined televisions by placing them too close to some unshielded speaker systems, there was no mending the problem.

The speaker is a JBL "FLIX 20" center, part of a surround package bought 12 months ago I threw the box and paperwork away a few months ago - :b

Anyway, Radio Shack don't have a Degaussing Tool, neither do any of the the other Electronics Suppliers in Ottawa I have tried.
I feel a Service Call coming on:frowning:
