I know I do this once in awhile, Pull movies and play scenes that showcase my modest system.

    Sound:
Pearl Harbor – scene 22 (first strike)
    Ice Age – Scene 1 (A squirrel’s life)….

Do you have a particular favorite that you use to showcase sound and what are they?

What scenes would you use to showcase your video?

    Standard Disclaimer:
Still learning where to put this… and if it came up in an earlier post somewhwhere…sorry

While I haven't really used any DVD's for demo purposes yet, I do have a selection for that purpose...

The first part of the "San Francisco" segment of Around the World in 80 Days. Between the eye-popping visuals and the very active 5.1 sound, it's a great showcase.

I feel that pretty much most newer films will look and sound great, so it's more astounding to show a 1956 film with excellent quality.

    Starship Troopers Superbit- audio DTS

    Adaptation Superbit- video DTS

Master and Commander comes in at a close second for both audio and video.

CJ ~ maybe he means the audio and the dts? or maybe he just made a mistake, who knows. I got the idea though, that film show's off his display.

Yes I was looking to see what scenes you use to show off a little...

Call this thread a premature postulation... i fumbled across another thread that does whole movies...

And yes I am a firm believer in DTS

C'mon give us rooks a little :b slack

lyle, we were referring to david galindo's entry of 'video dts', which is an impossibility.

realized i didnt give any examples for this thread, so i'll say the airplane scene in fight club is a pretty good and loud audio scene.
