The DVD player I ordered downsamples 96/24 to 48/16 on the digital outputs. Has anyone heard of any way to defeat downsampling. Seems to me there ought to be a service command or something similar. I have a few DAD's that I would like to listen to. I would also like to upsample.

Don't have the money to buy any of the units I want. I won't post the name of the unit. Once its in my house, I can do what I want but I don't know what the legality of broadcasting it to the world.

Moderator I don't know how you are going to treat this, but will abide by your decision.

FYI, most of the Pioneer DVD's do not down sample. I have a DV717 and it outputs 24/96 on DAD's.

Thank you. I just found that MSB does these modifications for $395 + $100 for balanced output. Now the question is: Is it worth it? ;)
