I've got two weeks to decide whether or not to keep my SC-I that I got for $600.00 (open box) and get an SVS PC12-NSD, or just stick with the Supercube. Has anyone rated them head to head? Please help me make up my mind.

From the Def Tech site review quotes:
"reach down to the mid-20Hz range"

Compare that to the frequency response of the NSD which looks to have usable output down to 16hz. I'd go with the SVS because I'm a low bass nut. There's nothing like feeling the room pressurized with waves of bass.

Yeah take whatever Def Tech says and add about 10-20hz to the low extension, they make good speakers but lie like crazy about how low they can go. You can do better for the money than Def Tech (specifically SVS and other internet-direct companies).

From the Def Tech website: "The SuperCube I is powered by a 1500-watt class D amplifier. The result is astounding high-definition bass performance extending effortlessly down to 13 Hz."

Yeah right...
