I want to commend DDD for their great service. I placed an order on Sunday night and received the shipment today, Thursday. That is very good for as busy as I imagine they are right now.
My wallet simultaneously loves and hates this sale:
Reno 911 - S1 The Station Agent Warner Legends Collection Dick Van Dyke Show - S3 Dick Van Dyke Show - S4 Chaplin Collection 2 Master & Commander Collection (WS) (3D) Panic Room (SE) (3D) Outer Limits - Sex & Sci-Fi Outer Limits - Time Travel & Infinity Freaks & Geeks Mr. Show - S1 & S2 Akira Kurosaw - Four Samurai Classics
About $400 worth of damage :frowning:. Then again some of those I've been eying for quite a while...

Does anyone know where DDD ships from? I placed my order on 6/17, says it shipped 6/19, but I still haven't received it. The email said to expect it between 6/28 and 7/3.
I think they have a couple of shipping depots around the country. Almost all of my stuff ships from Illinois, but I've occasionally gotten stuff from a Nevada address.
The last time I took advantage of their 20% off sale it took up to a month before I received part of my order. So I am not expecting to see my orders from this one to arrive too quickly.
My first order using the summersale code:
INXS-LIVE BABY LIVE $ 12.17 ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA-ZOOM TOUR $ 8.00 TOM PETTY-PLAYBACK $ 12.46
Second order using the deepdiscount code:
U2-RATTLE & HUM $ 7.48 Backorder U2 GO HOME-LIVE FROM SLANE CASTLE $ 16.32 Backorder ARTHUR $ 7.91 Backorder
There is no telling how long it will take the backorders to make it to my living room but it doesn't matter to me since they don't actually charge the credit card until they are shipped.
Okay, I just found out about this sale today, but I ordered a couple of movies from DDD just a few days ago! So I went ahead and ordered them again, WITH the discount, in the hope that I can return the previous ones when they arrive.
Question is, should I just take the unopened package back to the post office and ask them to return it to the sender? I know that works with Amazon.
I still get a kick out of every post I see that says it's taken longer than a week to get their order. I remember back in the day () when I ordered from the fabled 800.com 3 for a $1.00 selection. Don't even get me started on the Troma all DVDs a $1.00 sale that took me close to a year to get. Oye!
For the record, I placed my order last weekend, haven't got it yet. It'll get here when it get's here. Less than $10 a DVD average is a steal.
Doug (Who remembers ordering from DVDExpress, and Reel.com after walking 10 miles in the snow and ordering over dial-up, all so he could get his DVDs before release date. Ah, the good ol' days.)
Last DDD sale it took months to get all the discs (at least it did for my wife, who spent way to much on DVDs). This time, I ordered Friday when the sale started, and I got my discs today. Excellent.
Everytime I order from DDD, it takes almost exactly one week to receive it. The last time I placed an order it took 8 days. I would not be worried at all about receiving your DVDs. I think the free shipping is what causes it to take so long in some instances.
Want it cheap AND shipped fast? Boy, we just want to have our cake and eat it too, don't we?!
I figure if I'm getting 20% off I can wait a while, although last time DDD had a mega-sale my in-stock purchases all arived within 2 weeks (trickled in 1 or 2 at a time), which isn't bad considering I didn't pay for shipping. This time they got me to the tune of $233! Very happy to get some great boxsets at awesome prices though.
