I believe American Beauty is DTS-ES, not sure of Matrix or discrete though (don't even know the difference actually). I can't confirm that at the moment though.

The release date for Suspiria should be September 11, not September 1.

Ive seen a foreign version of Hannibal clearly having the DTS-ES logo on the front of the case at some website. I cant recal what site it was and I've never seen it in person so I cant confirm 100% but I swear seeing the logo.
Wasnt X-Men and/or Hollow Man in some kind of ES/EX matrix or not? And also is Cast Away DTS-ES matrix or discrete?

On Don Henley's - End Of The Innocence
Only the tiltle track is Discrete ES.
If X-Men isn't EX it sure sounds like it.
Cast Away only shows as ES Matrix on my Denon AVR-4802.

Great list Troy, glad I did a search and came up with it. I just started using a rear center and am starving for software. I can not wait for Highlander! There can be only one!

Looking kinda grim for EX/ES releases on DVD. So far there are some movies that were released theatrically in EX/ES that aren't being released on DVD in EX/ES;
  • Jurassic Park III
  • Atlantis
  • A.I. (although no release information on the DVD is available, it doesn't look to have EX/ES)
Hopefully some of the forthcoming movies released in EX/ES will be released on DVD in EX/ES.
  • Monsters, Inc. - Release date: November 2, 2001
  • Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone - Release date: November 16, 2001
  • Lord Of The Rings - Release date: December 19, 2001
  • E.T. The Extraterrestrial - Re-release date: March 2002
  • Star Wars: Episode II - Release date: May 22, 2002
  • Minority Report - Release date: June 28, 2002
Additional notes
IMDb.com has X-Men listed as Surruound EX?!
Dolby.com has Shrek, Moulin Rouge, The Mummy Returns, and Angel Eyes as Surround EX?!

New from Anchor Bay's chat:
The Watcher in the Woods (DTS-ES Discrete 6.1)
The Jazz Singer (DTS-ES Discrete 6.1)
Can't Stop the Music (DTS-ES Discrete 6.1)
Bad Taste (DTS-ES Discrete 6.1)
No street date yet though. More to follow.
The Evil Dead (DTS-ES Discrete 6.1) Early 2002.
Dan
P.S. American Beauty was DTS 5.1 and DD 5.1, no EX or ES encoding. Shrek, A.I., E.T., and Jurassic Park III will have DTS-ES of some sort.

Something smells fishy here, Jurassic Park III DD EX but not DTS ES? I would be willing to bet it is ES also. Remember DTS is Steven's Love Child!

Also and this is just my my honest opinion, The matrixed EX and ES are nothing more than the mixer a little more aware of the back rear channel in a mix. I don't think there is really anything magical mystical about an EX mix! Some of my best sounding EX played back DVD's are not so called "EX/ES" releases. So don't be disappointed if the title is not blessed with the EX/ES labels!
