After the United States is destroyed by bombs and biological weapons that leaves nearly every adult dead or a flesh-eating braindead monster, the teenagers of a post-apocalyptic Glendale, CA revert to their cliques and fight for territory. Meanwhile, one antisocial Canadian, a pyromaniac tween, and a reformed jock samurai try to survive so the Canadian can find the girl he loves.
I'm three episodes in and enjoying it. It scratches that Halloween itch. It's part Max Max, it's part Zombieland, it's part Ferris Bueller's Day Off (down to the casting of Matthew Broderick as the principal), and part ruthless Generation Z satire.
It's not quite as smart or quite as edgy as it thinks it is, but there's still a lot of fun to be had.
