According the dvdsoon, Criterion are set to release the George C. Scott eco-thriller The Day of the Dolphin in July; can't find any mention of it on the official Criterion site so no details, but it's a nice price!

However, is this from Criterion, as dvdsoon state, or one of their labels Home Vision?

It isn't a Criterion release, but another company. It might have been Home Vision.

Just nipped in with the qualifying edit before you Jon!

The entry at dvdsoon looks like a mistake then? Oh dear - well, at least it's a warning to those that might be tempted to order a new 'Criterion' disc.

Specs are listed at dvdboxoffice (where it's also a 'Criterion'!); doesn't look half bad actually.

This is being released by Criterion's parent company Home Vision. Except for the name & the spine #, there isn't any difference between the two.

Where's the 3.0 track? The laserdisc had a Dolby Digital 3.0 track which supposedly was true to the magnetic stereo filmprints of DotD's original release. The specs here are for a 2.0 surround track. [IMG]
