I remember seeing a scene in the tv spots where a man is sucked out a window. I just watched the dvd and it wasn't there. There was a scene where a guy opens the blinds and then the girl he was with looks scared, then the screen goes black. When the picture comes back you see a maintenance man looking out at half the building being gone. Why didn't they show the guy being blown out?

I remember that scene in a preview of CBS's teleflick, "Catagory 6" or whatever. It aired right after "Day..." came out on DVD.

Due to tight schedules, trailers and TV spots are often made prior to the final edit and sometimes contain scenes that are later deleted in the final movie edit.

I remember the scene too. I think it was the guy in the office building that was messing around with the girl on the couch. I guess they thought it was more dramatic to just have the janitor open the door and show the whole side of the building be gone, than to show the people getting sucked out and then having the janitor open the door.
