Is anyone interested like I am seeing a decent release of this series on DVD? It's about a 50's TV network and personally I think it's hilarious. It's just as bizarre as Twin Peaks but in a sitcom form. I think there were only 7 episodes made and they can be seen on YouTube. But these were lifted from a Japanese Laser Disc from the 90's, have horrible picture quality and have annoying Japanese subtitles over the scenes. ABC broadcast only two eps but the entire series was shown in other countries. And, in 1997, TV Guide's 100 Greatest Episodes listed the "The Lester Guy Show" (the 1st episode) as number 57 in that list.

I’d love any and all Lynch projects to be legally and widely available. I think Lynch himself is aware of the interest among his fans but he doesn’t control the rights.

I saw one and thought if it was better known, it would make a Top 10 list of the worst shows in TV history.

Well it is Lynch. Most would say an acquired taste.

Well, if his other work is as abysmal as On the Air, I'm glad its a taste I never acquired!

I think I hear the sound of Twin Peakers stampeding.

    You called? ;)

I love Twin Peaks (especially the 2017 revival) and David Lynch’s filmography, but I concede his work isn’t for everybody, much like any filmmaker (I know lots of people who despise Wes Anderson films, despite my proclaimed love for them).

I would LOVE to see ON THE AIR make it to Blu-ray!
