Just received my Sony 36" FS13 today and have been monkeying around with it. I have RCA Directv wired to the Sony via a very high quality S-video cable and I feel the need to turn the contrast and brightness up well past the center point to achieve a brighter picture. At the center point for brightness and contrast the picture is quite dark. I do not experience this problem with my other Sony tv--a 20" FS13 I believe. Is this TV just a little darker, or should I be turning up the brightness and contrast to make it brighter. Thanks.

You should set brightness and contrast according to AVIA or Video Essentials and leave it there.
    (Contrast = 33 to 50% typical)
These things are assembled by People ... not just machines.
This is why they are not the same ... and why should they be anyway? [IMG]

Thanks Michael, but do you have a FS13 or is that just a general opinion? By the way, are you a hockey fan--my beloved Minnesota Wild are playing your Flames tonight. Good luck!!!
