The full title is Jedi Knight 2:Jedi Outcast. Dark forces has been dropped. Frankly, I can't see WHY you would want ot play in first person, especially for the lightsaber duels. How can you see what you're doing?

I heard they're aiming for a 500MHz minimum. I'm sure my Athlon 800/Voodoo3 will handle the game fine

Actually when you go to use the lightsaber it forces you out to a 3rd person view. So its only first person when using the guns, third person for the lightsaber.

I didnt realize they had upped the polygon output... from the screenshots I've seen, it looks pretty simple (but GOOD! :)) If my current machine can run Medal of Honor, I think it will run JK2.
Re: 3rd person view... I like how they have it set up... 3rd person for guns would suck, and the 1st person view for the light saber would suck. So I'm glad it's the other way around ;)

Wow - based on the specs my outdated PII450 might be able to do a serviceable job with this!

Anyone know any details about the Collector's Edition? It says it comes with full versions of Dark Forces I & II, but doesn't say if that includes the Mysteries of the Sith add-on (which was later packaged with DFII).

Thank god Raven is making this game and not LucasArts internal as they haven't turned out a good Star Wars game since Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight.

Let's be clear - those are probably the /minimum/ requirements, right? Not the /reccomended/?

Yes those are minimum, meaning they will just start the game and run it, more than likely in slide show mode :)

EBgames.com has this pre-order for $49.99 and free 2-day shipping - no taxes either. Of course, Circuit City will have this thing for $35.00 now that I pre-ordered mine.
