Can soneone give me a brief rundown on the differences between the regular release and the limited edition of Anchor Bay's "OPERA" DVD? I know that the Limited Edition includes a soundtrack CD. Is that basically the only difference? Do both versions contain the exact same DVD, as is common with AB's LEs? What about an insert or booklet? Do they include one? Are they different?

    Thanks.

both are exactly the same except for the soundtrack... the difference at Best Buy was minimal ($17.95 to $22.95) so I picked up the LE (which I now need to send back to Anchor Bay to replace [IMG] )

Yes, if you purchase Opera, be sure it is version 2.0

The LE has DTS on it and I'm not sure if the NON-LE does or not. And it also has a pretty booklet that is very insightful. Also a cool documentary.

The non-LE also contains a DTS-ES track. I compared the list of features on the back cover of the two editions at Best Buy before purchasing, and they were identical for the movie DVD. The only difference on the LE appeared to be the extra disc -- a soundtrack CD. I opted for the regular edition (version 2.0, so no glitches).

Ive been putting off getting Opera due to the problems with the disc. I had a cupon, and Amazon is offering free shipping, so I bought it. Does anyone know if they are shipping 2.0, or am I going to have a big pain in my ass?

Tanner, I purchased the DVD from Amazon in late October, and it was version 2.0. So, what you'll get should be the same version.

As long as your don't buy it on an auction. Anyways Amazon, DDD etc all ship the version 2.

The opera discs are the same in both the LE and reg edition.
