For a brief description of what was added back in, go to IMDb and click on the alternate versions link. Daredevil was cut to avoid an 'R', but it was mostly violence that was cut.
Will this have the Coolio scene(s) restored?
Why is this such a suprise? I mean, they had to resubmit the film 3-4 times to get a PG-13 rating!
I can't wait to see how this one turns out.
It's no surprise, I just know a lot of us have been anticipating seeing the uncompromised version of this movie, and we haven't heard much about it since the theatrical release, aside from Avi Arad's comments a week or two back. I thought it was just cool to have it finally confirmed that it is coming, and sooner than the release of Daredevil 2 in 2-3 years, which I was afraid of.
Cannot wait to see this version
Glad to see the process is motion. Can't wait to see the new version.
This is the only reason why I have not purchased the current edition. I am happy to hear that we get the real version soon.
Good maybe it will make the movie interesting now.
I'm curious just how much will be added back in?
It says, "...Rated R for violence and language." not "nekid girls".
she doesn't need to be naked just being in the film is good enough.
and her kicking some serious butt is violence so that is also good.
Good news indeed. I haven't seen this one since its theatrical release and this makes a great reason to give it a second visit...once it's released of course.
No offense to the fans of the film but I can't imagine 20 mins of violence will suddenly turn this movie into a great one. For the fans it might but for the people who didn't too much care for it I don't think it will change their opinion. Anyway I'll watch it to find out.
Well, who's to say its just 20 minutes of violence? An extra 20 minutes of people getting their heads cut off seems a little much just for violence, doesn't it? The scenes that'll be restored are supposed to be scenes that were cut from the film including more to the Kingpin character, a subplot where Matt investigates the Kingpin case (which sounds pretty important to the film since in the theatrical version the cops pop out of nowhere!) and then the violence.
I reckon all films starring Ben Affleck should have an automatic X rating!! I mean he really is dire. The supporting cast made this movie I was told. Me, I just refuse to watch the bastard in anything!!
Obviously you have some deep disdain for the man. Where does it all come from? Perhaps you should watch his complete body of work to have a more acceptable view.
