Does anyone have knowledge of or had any experience with a Danon DVD player.
    Thanks

    Rich,
    Do you mean DENON?
If so, they have the 2800 (silicon image chipset). Its a progressive-scan unit, but is regarded to be an average performer for the money. They also have the new DVM-4800, which uses the Genisis deinterlacer. This unit has DVD audio support, and looks to be very similar to the Panasonic RP-91 in terms of performance.

I'm partial to the strawberry. I found the blueberry to be a little too tart for my taste.
However, I wouldn't trust a DVD player made by a yogurt maker.

Danon starting to manufacture DVD players? What's going here? Is yogurt business that difficult these days?
What's next? General Mills contemplating to create high end movie projectors within few years?
