Yeehaw!! Oh, this is good news. Thank you Brad!

Now if only they could get on the stick and release Animaniacs, Tiny Toons....

Anyone knows if the A&E deal did also include "Count Duckula"? Would be interesting as it could make a German release more possible. :)

Isn't the R2 version missing some episodes, and some narration or something in each episode? If I'm thinking of the right show, that's what I recall from reader feedback. Hopefully the A&E version will be 100% complete.

I'm glad I held off on those UK PAL single-disc releases.

It felt good to delete the 7 or 8 of them from my wishlist and replace the space with "Dangermouse: The Complete Seasons 1 & 2 (A&E)". Way to simplify!

The R2 versions are more or less in broadcast order (more like chunks of broadcast blocks), over the first 6 or so seasons. So they're a very hit or miss affair.

I do hope that they have some of the extras from R2 - they have the pilot, some interviews, that sort of thing.

Anthony, Anthony, Anthony...

Thank you!

That is a wonderful piece of news! :)

It has been quite a while since I have seen Dangermouse. Didn't he have an enemy, a toad named Greenback or something like that?

Rodney, since most of us aren't lucky enough to have early access to these disks, I have to ask about the 2nd series/season. Are those stories presented like multiple episodes (with cliffhangers, silly narration, and recaps) as they were shown on Nickelodeon or are they edited together as one big episode. I am hoping for the former (as the voiceovers were sometimes the funniest bits), but AFAIK there has never been a VHS or DVD release of them in that fashion. Any other observations you have about the disks would also be welcome.

I also just picked this one up (after MacGyver, my life now has meaning once again.... I really need to get a life). One question: all sources I have found say that this is in stereo, but I only hear mono. When Pro-Logic IIx is engaged, the sound field collapses to the center channel (nothing on the mains at all), which usually points to a mono signal (in this case, DD 2.0 but with both channels the same). Anybody else find this?

I think it's extremely unlikely DM was made in stereo given its age.

I'd also be interested to know if the cliffhangers are on the R1 set. They were the best part of DM! I bought a couple of the R2 discs, and it's just not the same without them.

Thanx, Phillip! I thought as much, but the R1 packaging claims "stereo", as does every other source I could find (probably just a propagation of the packaging misprint)...
