The new cast was announced today. Some interesting stars and combos. Maks is back again and I thought he wasn't going to stay. It's going to be the return of Cheryl Burke this season. But for Derek Hough fans, he's not here.

Tom Bergeron is back as host, but I didn't find any info on the judges yet. Airs September 28th.

Barbara Corcoran first elimination last night. I did think she might make it one or two more weeks but I can see she might have been the least popular.

So far average start to the season. I was kind of meh about the season with so many "stars" I've never heard of.

This is the first season where there wasn't at least one 'star' that I was excited to see on the dancefloor. Still, the show is a welcome haven from all the acrimony of the news and the political/social controversies that have also made their way into a lot of scripted series.

I still don't know how Victoria Arlen is dancing if she can't feel her legs. Crazy...

Barbara came off so lecherous. Eww...

Let's see if Lindsay can finally nab a mirrorball trophy this season.

It was sad to see how crushed last night's semi-finals booted contestant was.

I'm surprised by the results of last night's show. Though I have no clue who that girl is, her story was pretty cool to have had her disease and then over come it. And she showed some real grit to rise on the show and get better. I guess Frankie had more fans, or maybe Witney had the fan votes too to keep both Frankie and Witney.

While the season as a whole was not anything special, the freestyles tonight were amazing, as they almost always are. My DWTS enthusiasm has waned over the years, but I'm still looking forward to the finale, and was still disappointed to read that they won't be doing a full season again until next fall. The spring version will have just four episodes, according to Tom Bergeron.

Agreed, the DWTS interest is waning in me too. But I still enjoy watching. This season didn't really start to click for me till I started to see Frankie emerge and I started to root for him. As I also started to root for the girl who had the disability that caused her legs to not work. It was a close call last night, Frankie had the lowest scores but his fans saved him. Though I doubt he and Witney will win, it's hard to say. The other two contenders are pretty strong.

Jordan Fisher is the winner. He is young and thus more able to move and do the steps plus he was good. I just didn't root for him.

So I was wondering, Jordan Fisher, Disney star, and ABC is a Disney company.

I'm fine with the result even if he was something of a ringer. Lindsey Arnold finally has her trophy.
