No Buffalo's were hurt during the making of this movie.

AMC had the 'extented' version on over two nites last weekend. Although the title was in widescreen, the movie played in, you guessed it, P&S. Ugh!

Dances With Wolves is one of my favorite movies of all time. DTS sound quality is truly amazing. Video quality is close to reference level.
I used to own $125 Uncut 4hr version on LD. I hope someday they will make Uncut DTS version.
Then my 3hr version will go on Ebay!

I was surprised I saw some yesterday at Best Buy for $22.99 since I thought they were OOP. This was at the Pittsburg, CA store for those in the SF Bay Area.
