I am going to be moving soon from a basement apartment in a university area where no one really cared how loud things are played to a second floor apartment in a more residential area. I am looking for ways to dampen the bass so I don't offend my downstairs neighbor. I have a hsu stf-2. I think I read somewhere that using a concrete pad underneath teh sub will work. Is this true and does any one have other suggestions.

Turn it down. That's really your simplest option.

to dampen a subwoofer, you only need water.

but, if you are looking to isolate it, all you can really do is turn it down, or soundproof the room. thats about it.
