I sent an email to Anchor Bay asking about "Damnation Alley" on dvd. Also, if they plan on added the scenes that were added to the tv cut.

Here is the response I got today:

Just checked AB's website. Damnation Alley is still showing as "coming soon". [IMG]

Anyone know what the hold up is?

Shame. Not exactly a good film but could have been. Nice Jerry Goldsmith score though; I'd buy the dvd from the angle of getting an extended music video for the score!

SOUND 360. It used 4 mag tracks with timber-matched stage speakers placed in the middle of each wall (including the center speaker behind the screen).

Strange that news of a DVD release should come around the same time Fox is releasing the original versions of the "Star Wars" franchise, for Fox had originally thought that Damnation Alley was going to be the blockbuster of 1977, but thanks to Mr. Lucas that all changed!

The Land Master Vehicle is still visible on the Hollywood Fwy, just east of the Barham turnoff in Hollywood.
