Curtains

    I'm planning on putting folded burgandy velvet curtains around the walls of my theater. I'm wondering first, how to calculate how many linear yards of material to get, then how best to hang them. I'm guessing just regular old fixed curtain rod for the latter... I'm assuming that the surrounds want to be out from the folds, so a slit for the mount won't disturb the look any. Thanks...

    Well,measure your wall,take that width and times it by 2.you want twice as much fabric to make the folds and such

    One other thing.You might want to get a closet dowl rod to hang the curitans with.I know they come in really long legenthes and can be mounded using cups at either end.If you do have to go with more than one per wall,try to make them over lap a bit or else you might end up with a slight gap.Another thing to do would be use the iron on fusing to fuse the curitans together so they dont open up everytime sombody walks by
