I have the opportunity to purchase an SR7300ose for a very good price. I
have it home and was able to demo it. It doesn't have the infamous hiss
problem like the regular SR7300s. I would love to hear about others who
now own their SR7300ose. The new SR7400 has a 32 bit surround bit,
compared to the 24bit on the SR7300ose. I'm not sure how noticeable it
will be between the two. I would think that Marantz would offer an upgrade
to 32 bit sometime. I'm also concerned that the new SR7400s are getting
very hot. Thanks in advance for your input.

I noticed the first 7400 I saw in the stores to be VERY hot while idle, and that concerned me quite a bit. I was offered a great deal on an OSE as well, but went with the 8300 instead.

The OSE is not immune to the hiss problem according to reports, but I have yet to hear a single unit that actually has this problem.

IMO, I'd probably go with the OSE vs the 7400. I think it actually has better DACs (same as the 8200 I believe) than the 7400.
