Don't get TOO excited. As a long time Cure fan, I have heard them make all kinds of promises and exciting announcements like this in the past only to never hear of them again. While I would love to see it happen, I'll put it this way...I'll believe it when I have the disc in my hands! [IMG]
All of this reminds me however, that I need to get around to archiving my In Orange laserdisc onto DVD-R in the somewhat near future. I would be very surprised if it ever gets re-released on DVD.

Oh yeah, I have to say that I very much agree with you John. I thought Bloodflowers was the best Cure album since Disntegration. But then I always liked their darker stuff better than the lighter dance friendly stuff.

Can you say "Mandatory Buy"? I only became a Cure fan about 3 years ago, but I'm all in now. I own all the discs except for a couple of the early hard to find items (Three Imaginary Boys, Japanese Whispers, etc..) One of these days, I'll grab those off of Ebay.

I too enjoyed "Bloodflowers" quite a bit and think that it is one of their best albums. I would definitely put it in their top 3 or 4. This sounds like a phenomonal concert and DVD.

This will happen, it was one of the reasons why they did the Trilogy Shows.

I really wanted to make one of these shows, but the timing was just too off for me, oh well atleast I'll have the DVD to enjoy.

Also the BBC will be putting out a Cure concert in their Rock Masters line of DVDs.

BTW - I am a HUGE Cure fan, have been since I was old enough to buy my first cassette tape at the age of 10 which was KM, KM, KM. Seen them several times and personally thought Bloodflowers was a brillant album and the Dream Tour was the best yet!

Cool, Kelley! I am a pretty massive Cure fan as well, I have cooled off a bit the last few years as I have discovered countless other bands, but my collection of both official and live stuff is pretty massive. I also used to run a website called the Cure MP3 Audio Archive which was pretty massive...close to 2000 tracks and a whole lot of visitors...this was in the days when only cool people knew about MP3s. I am still hoping this DVD release happens, but I won't believe it until I have it in my hands. I know their track record for these kind of things.

These will be must buys. I'd still love to have In Orange on DVD but having 2 of my favorite cure albums performed live will be a good way to wait.

This is great news. I seen The Cure six times and The Bloodflowers concert was their best show. They were on stage for what seemed like two hours and I was only 30 rows away from the stage.

I know once I see this DVD i will kick myself for not going when I had the chance.

PS - At the Dream Tour stop in Dallas I had tickets for 5th row but when we got there some radio station gave us front row seats for my wife being able to name all the cure albums in order.

I want this set so bad, I can taste it. I hope they do it right and spread the concerts across 3 discs, so that they can have multiple audio streams (DTS, Dolby 5.1, etc..) and not let the picture quality suffer. 4+ hours is a lot for one disc, and it would be awkward to split it onto only 2 discs, but either way this will be mine.
