    Synopsis
    Four soldiers of fortune are hired by a wealthy Texan oil baron to rescue
    his kidnapped wife,
    who's been spirited across the Mexican Border by a band of mercenaries led
    by Jesus Raza
    (Palance). The four rugged professionals are each a specialist in his
    selected field - an expert
    marksman and tracker (Strode), the explosives master (Lancaster), horse
    handler (Ryan) and
    one skilled in tactics and weaponry (Marvin). They make their way across
    the treacherous
    landscape to retrieve the beautiful kidnappee, but discover all is not as
    it seems to be in the
    explosive climax.

    Excellent. This film which I saw as a teenager (I'M 49 now) contains one of the best lines ever uttered in film:

    Bandido to Burt Lancaster as he is tied up and hanging upside down: "Do I have to kill you to show you I like you?" Absolutely classic. I can't wait for the release.[​IMG]
