Not a bad episode, but not great either.

Im kinda starting to get tired of CSI. Its the same ole' thing pretty much every week. Im hoping that this is their last year. Might as well go out on top (or close to it)

This show will be on longer than ER. Well, maybe not that long :) but unless a huge drop in ratings occurs it's gonna be around for at least another five years. I believe William Peterson is contracted until the end of next season and it's a safe bet that even if he leaves, CBS will keep the show going.

I thought last night's episode ("Killer") was pretty interesting, taking a page from L&O:CI and telling part of the story from the viewpoint of the killer.

And William Sadler and Robert Patrick: Seperated at birth? I until he shaved the beard, I could have sworn it was Patrick.

I can see them doing it, but I would hope if Petersen leaves, that they just pack it in. Grissom is the main reason I watch CSI and would seriously reconsider if he weren't there. It's also the reason I was NY and not Miami. I like the Mac Taylor character (and the lead female, can't remember the character's name, though) and despise Horatio.

I liked last night's episode alot too. It was nice to see a different angle to a story. The great thing about William Sadler is that he's a guy you can always count on to give a good performance even if the movie isn't that great. I wish he and William Peterson had had more scenes together.

Paul, Sadler and Robert Patrick were in Die Hard 2 together. It'd be tough to find two more intense looking guys than them. :)

One of the last words to describe me would be squeamish. However, when they pulled the eye out of Lady Heather's daughter and showed Captain Jack's eye socket/lobotomy, both times I yelled out "Awww sick!"

I don't think this episode is going to win over any of those family TV groups that don't like CSI. :)

This episode was really high on the "let's see how much we can gross out the audience" scale.

I don't remember any episodes with Lady Heather. When was she on and what is her story / connection to Grissom?

How about the Siamese twins?

Chad, Lady Heather was from a 3rd season episode called "Lady Heather's Box". I believe she ran a dominatrix club. And someone died. When Grissom was investigating he became enamored with her.

Lady Heather first appeared in the Season 2 episode "Slaves of Las Vegas" (ep 208), in which the death of a young woman at a Vegas swinger's club leads the team to Lady Heather's dominatrix dungeon. (And website. :)) She and Grissom made a connection.

She returned in "Lady Heather's Box" (ep 315), the first (and so far only, I think) 90 minute CSI episode. One story concerned two dead male escorts with ties to Lady Heather, the other story centered on Catherine, her scuzzball ex-husband (Eddie?) and her daughter Lindsay, and included Catherine's rescue of Lindsay from a car rapidly sinking in a culvert during a heavy downpour. Good espisode. Lady Heather and Grissom continue their dance but he (surprise, surprise) pulls back at the last minute - hence her attitude towards him in "Pirates of the Third Reich".

Regards,

Joe

I thought Lady Heather was pissed at Grissom because he considered her a suspect for a while, and she was offended that he could think such a thing of her.

I haven't posted in a CSI thread in a while, but I really liked this episode as much as I was repulsed by it, and that's a lot!

Once I guessed that we were dealing with twins, I was kind of rolling my eyes, but the reveal about the obsessive Mengele-like testing and then the two men sewn together (or twins being seperated, it wasn't clear to me) made the storytelling pop.

Of course, Lady Heather does it for me, too Gris, and man is she good with a whip in ALL situations. :)

When did Jorja Fox get so thin? She does not look healthy at all. I know it is en vogue to blame famous women for having eating disorders, but in profile she had no...profile and her arms are sticks.

OK, so there was that murder suspect thing, too. :) My memories of the episode are far from perfect. I mostly remember the "Did they or didn't they?"* scene where Grissom is having breakfast with Lady Heather and we're not sure where either of them spent the night, and the "I think someone just said, 'stop'." scene between them near the end. And, of course, the Catherine story, which was so important to her character's development.

Regards,

Joe

(* William Petersen says they didn't. The writers and producers aren't so sure.)

Interestlingly, Lady Heather's first appearance is good trivia - Melinda Clarke (Heather) and another co-star in that same episode, Kelly Rowan, both ended up on "The OC" afterward, as Julie Cooper and Kirsten Cohen, respectively.

I think Nick is going for the Roy Orbison look (check him out with the shades in this episode).

I enjoy the Liz Vassey appearances, but her job is pretty gnarly.

Grissom's line to the TV interviewer was a hoot in last night's episode:

"There are too many forensic procedurals on TV."
