I thought this was one of the more enjoyable episode, probably because there were some LOL lines from Grissom (The line about the cowboy's life getting retarded at the end was funny because of how they framed the shot to show the cowboy's reaction to it), and Sarah got to tag the bad guy with a zinger at the end too.

Too bad they married off Terry (the woman who piqued Grissom's interest last season), but it was good to have her show up with do her thing with facial reconstruction from a skull.

FYI: The porno director was played by William Mapother, who is Tom Cruise's cousin and often appears in Cruise's movies (Mapother is Cruise's real last name).

Yup, he played the abusive husband for Marisa Tomei's character. Mapother doesn't seem to mind playing the bad guys, does he?

Off topic for a second. But, did anyone see last weeks episode with the fight? At the beginning of most episodes the music for the intro cues right after Grissom makes some sort of comment. But, in the fight episode you hear the music stop and Grissom saying wait their is another crime at the scene. I thought that was a subtle, but cool thing.

He is in a lot of Tom Cruise movies ;)
There was some great lines in this episode, especially from Grissom.
"Male or female?"
"Anthill."
I also loved the "retarded" line to the murderous cowboy and how Sarah & Catherine taunted the porn director: "we dipped into the budget" to get his HIV results back quickly; and "she killed you right back."
Best CSI episode I've seen in awhile.

Did you guys notice when Grissom said one sentence to the cowboy in a country twang? Something like "You get a lot of things stolen don't you?"

I couldn't believe they were able to make a face on the Down Syndrome guy, incredible.

I thought that was cool too and it played on a joke of Grissom using cheesy lines right before the credits cue.. nice touch.

I am hooked! "Fight Night" was the first episode I watched. I recorded this episode and probably watched it for the 9th time now. I'd buy the first season on DVD but I just don't have the funds right now.

Tonight, CSI: Miami is on and I can't get the feel for this, I don't know why. I'm not even paying attention as I'm type this.

Fight Night was a great episode. The Cowboy/Snuff episode was also a real winner. They've been hitting it out of the park as far as I'm concerned a great deal of the time.

I'm with you Raphael, Miami just doesn't work yet. Maybe they'll get into some kind of groove, because right now they're real sticks in the mud. I hope they work out, because there are some cast members whom I've liked in the past.

Tonight's Miami took an interesting plot and somehow made it suck. David Caruso comes off to me as an over-actor, and I don't know if I just ignore them on CSI, but it seems like Miami has a lot of lines like

"So he hit his head on something."
"Or something hit his head."

They did that kind of thing like 5 times in a single episode. The hell? I just can't get into Miami. They'd be better off putting CSI season one eps on in its timeslot instead of letting TNN butcher the OAR with their stupid black bar.

Count me as another that doesn't like CSI:Miami. I watched the first few episodes and there just wasn't anything there for me to like. I had high hopes for it since CSI is one of my favorite shows but I've already stopped watching it.

Rafael: If you like CSI, you can catch the first season repeats on TNN every Monday night at 11 pm.
The good thing about this show is you can pick it up in any episode and still enjoy it. :)

Thanks for the info Jodee but I only have basic cable (in Canada, TNN???), except for The Sorpranos/Sex and the City all my favorites (CSI, Alias, 24, Everybody Love Raymond...) air on basic channels.

Am I wrong but in the CSI Miami from this week, was the guy that was found in the trunk of the car one of the CSI investigators from the CSI Las Vegas? I swear the picture was the same guy, I can't think of his name.
