Crutchfield has the Kenwood Sovereign VR-5090

    Crutchfield now has the Kenwood Sovereign VR-5090 receiver for $1300. This is the first Sovereign component I've seen available anywhere. It looks to be loaded. The thing has 7 coaxial and 7 optical digital inputs! Anyway, in typical Kenwood style, the power rating is given for a 6-ohm load at 110W x 2 in stereo mode and 80W x 5 in surround-sound mode with all channels driven. Here is the link:

    Wow. If I needed a new receiver I'd certainly look at this one. Looks loaded with everything except enough powered channels. The idea of never switching my TV source is what I'd like to see on every new receiver.
