What are the benefits of a CRT flat screen HDTV versus an RPTV? What are the benfits of an RPTV over a CRT flat screen HDTV?

Why are CRT flat screen HDTV's MUCH more expensive than RPTV's that are MUCH bigger?

I'm looking to gather opinions on this matter. Any input would be great!

The benefits of a CRT over an RPTV: brighter, viewable from any angle, no convergence issues, virtually no burn-in issues.

Benefits of an RPTV: Sizes not possible with a CRT (i.e. over 40"), larger size for less money.

Why? Because as CRT TVs go up in size the tube has to be bigger. Bigger tubes are logically more expensive to manufacture. As RPTVs go up in size, the tubes that project the image generally stay the same size, and so they're only marginally more expensive to make.
