Wow, great to see this thread revived!
Steve Bates over at DVD Angle has just posted a very nice article on Crossroads (1986)!
Here's hoping that someone at Columbia is listening...

Great article, I also hope someone at Columbia reads it. I have wanted this DVD for a long time, especially now since I picked up the new CD from Steve Vai which has all his guitar work from the film on it.

I would love a copy of this on DVD as well.
I've sent many emails to CTHV about this title and recently received the following response:

Crossroads is not scheduled to be released on DVD. You may monitor current and new releases on:

Looks like us Crossroads fans are out of luck. Is there anything we can do convince CTHV otherwise? I was thinking of an online petition but I'm not convinced they actually work.

Another year and no Crossroads on DVD. Maybe in 2004. I hope we do get it and Columbia gets it right.

I would LOVE to see this come out on DVD a very good movie and EXCELLENT guitar solo's at the end.

I have no faith in Col./Tristar any longer. They have proven themselves as the worst DVD studio. Too many re-issues (pointless) and FULL SCREEN transfers.
