I am what you would call a newbie at all this who just got a Pioneer 1014. So far it ia amazing. I had a HK AVR 25 for the last seven years. But Can someone be kind enough to explain the Crossover feature or what crossover is for the sub and how it works? Thanks!!

You might try this to start with see crossover
In short, it's the range between your highs/mids and lows. In terms of the sub- the sub should have the real lows, so you don't want to set the subs crossover too low if your mains don't go very low, because there will be a big gap. If you set it too high and the mains go down real low, you might have too much of a shared area and you may not like the sound created. Generally, there is some overlap between the sub and the mains, and you don't want to leave a gap. Hope this helps. Do a search here for more.
