Yeah, i also couldnt stop laughing at Eli´s porno videos.
I also laughed out loud about the beginnings of the Tenenbaum family.
I also liked the intro´s to the chapters of the movie.
The drawings are pretty nice.
This was sure the best film of 2001.

Yeah, the set design all around was pretty great. Certainly some of the more intricate and detail-oriented sets around. I've been wanting to see it again to take another look at that great board game closet. Margot's bookshelves are arranged by playwright. That great shade of pink in the house's second floor and the hallway. All kinds of neat details.

I just readed at www.dvdfile.com that the DVD is NOT a cooperation between BV and Criterion.
Even better, its a Criterion DVD distribuited by BV. :emoji_thumbsup: :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

Somebody at DVDTalk suggested that the "-RAM" is for "TELEGRAM" and "SHORE" is for "SHIP TO SHORE," in reference to the telegram Richie sends during his round-the-world trip. Sounds reasonable to me.

Did Criterion have to license some old supplements to Buena Vista in order to get the rights to this one? If so, any idea what other film might be involved?

UGH! when will they decide?!

But the new cover is nice, but i dont remember it in any part of the movie.

Unless is one of Richie´s drawings.

Cool, I hope that's the one. It would be nice to have some consistency with the Rushmore CC, rather than the "look at this lineup of STAR POWER!" cover at the beginning of this thread.

Not many Criterions have the actors' names on the cover... Charade does. The Harder They Come does. Hamlet, Henry V and Do the Right Thing, but only because the director is the star. Any others?

I don't think that new cover is actually in the movie, but it IS one of Eric Anderson's drawings probably created specially for the DVD (since he is also doing the disc design, booklet design, menus, etc.) He is Wes' brother, and also did a lot of the paintings in the movie, like the ones of Margot (but NOT the hilarious, rediculous paintings in Eli's apartment  ). From what I can tell, it looks like a drawing of Ritchie with the eagle, Mordaki (sp?), on the roof of the house?
I'm so happy this release is not just speculation anymore. Bring on the Bottle Rocket CC!!!

It's in the movie. It's the scene where Richie and Margot watch the owl fly and compare it's feathers to the likes of human people. That is Richie on the cover right?

Oscar: IIRC, the big thing was that the pidgeon flew back to Luke Wilson after he'd been gone for all those years. So it would make sense.

I also like this cover art.

I'll bet that the cover on Criterion's website is the actual insert cover and the cover with all the cast on it we've been seeing the past few days is the slipcase cover. Just a theory.

That makes perfect sense, except that the pics made it look like a book-type packaging, similar to Bridge on the River Kwai and Lawrence. Not sure how they'll do it, or if only one of these covers is real and one is an insert.

We've known for awhile that it will be a slipcase, not a book-style package. The slipcase could just be designed to look like a book, even if it doesn't open like one.
