  2. The film is too long already. Would only want to see those scenes intended for the original RoadSho

  3. All I want is the overture and exit music. Don't need all those extra scenes added

I think it was a YouTube link to the original Roadshow 197 minute cut of MAD WORLD

I think it was a You Tube link to a recording of the police calls...

That sums me up perfectly. I don't handle the secrets of the Universe very well, either.

Actually it was the 513 minute super secret cut that was just located in Jonathan Winters basement but on 16mm pan-scan. Now do we expect a December release or an early 2014 release. My vote is early 2014 and the reason is I think Criterion wants to do this right.

I don't care when we get it as long as: (1) it's done right; and (2) it's released in fairly close proximity to a B&N 50% off sale. ;)

Yeah, I posted this earlier in the thread....

I never buy Criterion titles at full price. Never.

This one, I will have no hesitation to purchase day one.

Same here. You all leave me no choice in the matter.

How could I possibly not hold this one in my hands and load the disc at the first possible minute?

I'll be the odd man out here: since I find much of the film painfully unfunny, I'll be waiting for the B&N sale. I am anxious to see if I like the film any better in this upcoming version.

    I'm with you, John.
I'll be buying this during the B&N sale only because I own all the Criterion releases. Like you, maybe I'll like it better in the Criterion edition.
I do find this thread fascinating in spite of my personal non-admiration for this film.
