That's a touch of class there.
What was it?
I think it was a YouTube link to the original Roadshow 197 minute cut of MAD WORLD
I'm half believing that!
No no-- it was the 325 minute rough cut.
Can't the entire message be removed, instead of showing us that notice which amounts to THIS PERSON DID SOMETHING REALLY BAD SO WE'RE TAKING IT DOWN, BUT YOU'D HAVE LOVED WHAT IT WAS!?
IT'S A BAD BAD BAD BAD THING.
You just can't stand not knowing things, can you Joe?
I think it was a You Tube link to a recording of the police calls...
That sums me up perfectly. I don't handle the secrets of the Universe very well, either.
Actually it was the 513 minute super secret cut that was just located in Jonathan Winters basement but on 16mm pan-scan. Now do we expect a December release or an early 2014 release. My vote is early 2014 and the reason is I think Criterion wants to do this right.
I don't care when we get it as long as: (1) it's done right; and (2) it's released in fairly close proximity to a B&N 50% off sale.
I'll buy this one full price on release day - the next sale would be July so hope we're not waiting THAT long lol.Joe - we all know the secret, it's 42
Yeah, I posted this earlier in the thread....
I never buy Criterion titles at full price. Never.
This one, I will have no hesitation to purchase day one.
Same here. You all leave me no choice in the matter.
How could I possibly not hold this one in my hands and load the disc at the first possible minute?
I'll be the odd man out here: since I find much of the film painfully unfunny, I'll be waiting for the B&N sale. I am anxious to see if I like the film any better in this upcoming version.
I'm with you, John.
I'll be buying this during the B&N sale only because I own all the Criterion releases. Like you, maybe I'll like it better in the Criterion edition.
I do find this thread fascinating in spite of my personal non-admiration for this film.
Day one for me, too.
