I believe Grant’s show did feature film clips. It’s been a while since I’ve picked up the “Evening With” book but I believe the evening opened up with a series of clips which would culminate with Grant coming out onstage as the applause from the clips was already building to a crescendo.

The Bluray.com review mentions macroblocking though.

Unfortunately, on my system, I noticed quite a bit of annoying macroblocking sneaking in. Virtually all of it appears in dark areas with prominent black(s). [...] Can the macroblocking be missed? Possibly if you have a smaller screen, but on a large screen, I think that you will easily notice its presence.

That’s pretty shocking. Not really any excuse for macro-blocking these days - not baked into the disc anyway.
