Criterion.com 24 Hr. Flash sale at Noon ET Tuesday Feb 13, 2018

PROMO Code -- GOLD (usually case sensitive)

Normally this is slated for 24 hrs though it often ends up lasting a bit longer - a few minutes to several hours depending on demand and if the server crashes enough time (Soccer Penalty Time)

50% off MSRP (not current/normal price) all instock movies -- DVD, BD, Includes Eclipse set, but not merchandis

Free Shipping at $50. I don't think Criterion has done international orders other than Canada.

Sales Tax -- NY, KY, and I think WA is now required to collect for all online sites

New releases included. Preorders almost never are allowed.
Normally items go out of stock and backorders aren't taken, but the last few sales some items return to stock several times.

Criterion Loyalty program -- $50Gift Cert for every cumulative purchase of $500 even if it takes 5 years. In the past those loyal rewards certs are sent via email almost immediately and are eligible for immediate use.

If you are close to $500 and have enough total items, I'd suggest making an order just big enough to qualify for the Loyalty Cert plus FS, then make another $50+ order with the extra money rather than make one large order and then have to wait 6 months for the next flash sale though the GC/Rewards don;t expire. You can load them into your account and the $$$ will be there next sale.

A quick reminder you must type GOLD in the promotion code box again if you typed it in previously or else the discount won't apply

Oh my.

I've just placed an order with Criterion like I've never placed before...

The Breakfast Club
My Life as a Dog
Persona
Smiles of a Summer Night
Summer Interlude
Wild Strawberries
Cries and Whispers
Autumn Sonata
Fanny & Alexander

I might occasionally pick up a Criterion title or two during a B&N sale. But the timing was right just now. Trigger pulled! :D

Is that the Swedish version of The Breakfast Club?

I almost ordered then remembered I get an additional 10% discount when Barnes and Noble has their twice yearly 50% off sale- so I've opted to wait. Plus my eyes are on Tom Jones, Age of Innocence and Women in Love-all not yet released.

Unfortunately I'm going to have to wait for another sale, maybe the B&N sale later in the year. Just don't have the funds. It's killing me on the inside.

I don't have enough titles to hit the $50 for free shipping, so I'm going to hold off until the next B&N sale. But definitely a good deal for those in a position to take advantage of it!

Ja

=======================

I decided, just before I placed the above order to remove Silence of the Lambs from my cart.

And I'm really glad I did when I got an envelope in today's mail from Wal-Mart which contained the Criterion SotL!

I had totally forgotten that I had ordered it back around Black Friday for $19.xx.

Me too. I'll just wait for July. There isn't anything I have a pressing need to get right now, though I am tempted.

Wow. Ordered late on Tuesday. At my house on Friday!

The Breakfast Club will be running a few days late. I thin that was a pretty popular title for this sale.
