A must-buy. Good thing I'm saving all that money on Warner DVDs.

And don't forget, Rebecca and Spellbound are coming soon too! [IMG]
I was going to buy the Anchor Bay versions to go with my Nororious, as they were very inexpensive for decent transfers (little to no extras though). But I think I'll wait for these Criterions.
Man, I'm glad to finally hear some good news in the Software Forum! [IMG]

What's the MSRP for Notorious? dvdfile.com is reporting $49.95, but other sources say $39.95.

Did they raise the price because it's now 2-disc (like Spartacus)?
I think $50 MSRP ($35 pre-order price) would be a bit too much for this package, considering I already have the Anchor Bay version which isn't too bad. I was planning to get both Notorious and Rebecca (also reportedly a 2-disc set) but I don't think I'll be getting both if the MSRP is $50. Too many other releases this fall to deal with.

I wish I had known about these before I ordered the other versions. However, I'll probably put off getting the Criterions for a while since I have them and September and October are killer months for other MUST BUY DVDs.

Ack... It would have to typically be an October release, wouldn't it? [IMG]

It would appear that Rebecca will be a 2 disc set while Notorious and Spellbound will be single discs. They'll still have some nice extras though. Cheers.

Any mention of the Paradine Case? Not all that great, but if Criterion is not going to release, I will buy the Anchor Bay version.

    Jason,
If I were you, I'd pick up the Anchor Bay (it's about $11.50 on line), since I would bet it would be a while, if ever, that Criterion issues this.
Personally, I liked it way better that the common consensus that it's terrible. After all, Charles Laughton is in it!
