I saw the trailer a while back. If nothing else, at least it's a refreshing change of pace from the typical Hollywood "plot Cliff Notes" style of trailer we get all the time.

    Can't say I'm not fascinated.

I actually saw the trailer for this a long time ago. Crispin Glover is a weird dude.

Just to let people know, this is not work safe. There is (female) nudity.

I'm sure some critics will embrace this. I fully expect to see it on the next Sight & Sound list in 2012. [IMG]

I remember him saying in some interview that he was trying to make an all autistic version of some Shakespeare play....I think he is getting closer to this.....um....vision.

This movie has been in gestation a long time. One of its influences is Werner Herzog's Even Dwarfs Started Small. Glover is on the Dwarfs commentary and speaks briefly about it.

I can't see the trailer (dial-up connection), but I'm planning on seeing this film on Aug 27th.

Crispin Glover will be presenting the film in person and will be conducting a Q&A, as well as presenting "The Crispin Hellion Glover Big Slide Show".

Whatever this is...I'm sure it will be "interesting"

I'll save you a seat George! [IMG]

I'll tell you what. Let me know when it is, and at the exact moment you're watching that, I'll screen his one and only good film - Back to the Future! [IMG]

Personally, I'd have to say Glover's best film is The River's Edge, but, hey.

No, I don't think he's lost his mind. He's exactly the same as he's always been. [IMG]

Brook, I assure you, What is It is no stranger than The Baby of Macon.

I'm sure I'll see it, there isn't much that's too strange for me. Though from what I've seen so far of The Baby of Macon, it's pretty close.

I agree that this looks like Shakespeare, if Shakespearre dropped way too much acid.

And yeah, that ladie had HUGE mammy glands!

But I'm above such base comments, I want to know the deal with the snails?

If anyone wants to go to the WORLD PREMIERE of the "movie", Crispin Glover will be screening it for $25 canadian at the door of the Festival of Fear at the Canadian National Expo in Toronto August 28th at 9pm est.

    Check it out!

BTW, all that other stuff (sci-fi, anime, etc..) listed along the top of the page is happening at the same time. I went to it one year. I did't wait hours in line, but I waved to Uhura from Star Trek. Sadly, she didnt give me a fandance. [IMG]

Having not yet seen the trailer, I do find myself intrigued by the IMDB entry listing five actresses in the roles of "Monkey Woman."
