MGM has hired Zach Baylin to write Creed III:

I'm sure I'll show up to this, but the second movie felt like a satisfying conclusion, so I'm not sure why we need this creatively. Obviously MGM wants it for financial reasons.

I really hope they don't mess it up.

I agree. Creed II was a disappointment in a number of areas, but the ending was pretty definitive.

I'll be curious if they try to lock the next one into Rocky's life: Clubber Lang, Jr. or Tommy Gunn, Jr. Then it would be clear it's writing-by-the-numbers.

Please, please don't kill off Rocky. Even though I'm not a huge fan of the Creed movies, I did watch them and thought Creed II was a satisfying end to the series. Please don't ruin it.
