I'm trying to think of creative ways to hide a subwoofer. Do any of you have some suggestions? Also, do they make in-ceiling subwoofers? Powered???

Most in-wall subs should work in-ceiling. You would have to make sure that there is no cone sag on the sub when mounted horizontally. But since you will already be doing constuction to hid the sub, it won't take much more to build an infinite baffle sub. The example that I linked to is overkill for most but it is a great example of what can be done.
