This past weekend we had some excellent weather. It was close to 70 F, the sun was shining, not a cloud in the sky. Then on monday, out of nowhere, it starting snowing. At the time I was visiting this very site and really didn't think much about it. Suddenly there was a bright flash of light (almost like a nuclear explosion type flash). I said to myself, what the heck was that? By the time I said that there was a thunderous explosion. I never thought I would see the day. Snow and lightning! Has anyone else heard of such a thing?

A snow storm with thunder and lightning is rare, but not impossible. In early '94 in Birmingham, Alabama (where I was living at the time) we had a freak snow storm of about 10-12 inches in 6-8 hours, complete with T and L. Very scary and weird.
