For those who want to make their own spider, here's how I made it:
The legs are PVC pipe which I slid into "Funnoodles", a long foam swimming pool toy you can buy at most stores. The legs attach to a PVC pipe frame for easy storage. The body is more Funnoodles duct-taped together in a spider-body shape. The head is an inverted Rubbermaid tub with some padding to fill it out. The black "skin" is just cheap cloth material--I can't sew so I just glue-gunned it together.
The spider's eyes are large spherical purple Christmas lights, so they glow at night.
I sometimes wonder if this attracts lots of real spiders to my house, I find them everywhere! Maybe they are coming to worship their Giant Spider god.
