Hey,
Now that this has been out a while and people have had time to watch it, is there any Kirsten Dunst nudity on this disc either in the movie or deleted scenes? Just curious.

I think Kirsten's decision to make her character have an aversion to bras was a wise choice.

I remember at the time that the DVD first came out that it was mentioned that nude scenes were filmed, but were cut from the final cut before it hit theaters, and were not going to be included in the deleted scenes section of the DVD. So, I guess the director must have kept them for his private collection =) lol

I remember KD in an interview mention that this

movie was the first major one for the male lead actor.

One scene called for them making out and some nudity.

The male actor was becoming embarrassed.

Kirsten's grabbed his hand and put it on her breast

and said something like "there, now we are done with

that, lets just shoot the scene".

Some guys have all the luck!

I am sure the demographics of the summer movie market

would force the movie to stay PG-13.

Any nude scenes would push the DVD into another market.

In the US, the DVD will have the printing that the

supplements are not rated, while in the UK, the

supplements also have to go before a review board.

I don't see the studio wanting that problem in the UK

or bad press in the US.

I don't think the studio would want to push a

PR-13 movie into a R rated movie that would have

a nude scene of "teenage characters" (spell 'minor'

in some people's book).

You got an extra nude scene in Boogie Nights, but that

was already set for a R rated target.

I don't think we will ever see all the out takes.

Yep, I read somewhere the entire shot of Kirsten walking back and forth to the kitchen to get the condoms was shot with her topless. It also mentioned that after a screening with her Mom she asked to have it nixed.

I enjoyed this movie in theatres, and have realied I own a lot of Dunst's films on DVD.

From an audio/visual/extras side, should I purchase the DVD?!?!? I recall reading that Kirsten is on the commentary track.

Thanks.

Marc, without a doubt pick up this disc! It definitely shows that Dunst is fully capable of playing "darker" roles and is a worthwhile movie in itself. The DTS (!) track was a nice surprise and the commentary track (Dunst's first) is pretty enjoyable. The deleted scenes were OK and Making-of doc was fairly informative. Plus there are some trippy animated menus!

Actually...from what I read, the scene was shot as a fully nude scene and it was the director who pushed to have it changed.

From what I heard from a friend who knows
someone that dropped coffee off on the set,
one scene had Kirsten dance the Charleston
nude with a live chicken tied to her head!
Just joking!

I don't think we will ever get the full story.
