I am shopping for a 5 disc prog. scan player and the panny cp72 seems to come up in these boards quite often as a quality low cost player. When I looked at the panny website, however, it looked like the cp67 was the exact same player without DVD-Audio playback. Is that the only major difference between the two. Can any owners of either model recommend one over the other?

The CP67 also has the inferior MPEG decoder from the RP56/RP62.

Mike, Gabriel is right. Get the 'CP72. With a $30 mail-in rebate available from Panasonic right now, you can get the 'CP72 for under $200. Check authorized mail-order dealers like OneCall and J&R Music World for the best price. Ask about the mail-in rebate. If they don't know anything about it, check panasonic.com.
